For those that don't know, Verizon is offering the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus for a discounted rate but most importantly, those devices are wireless hotspots and Verizon has dropped their hotspot fee to the price of $0 per month.

To summarize, you can turn your wifi iPad into a wifi 3G iPad WITH constant connectivity and not have to pay an extra monthly data fee. The only thing you'd be missing is navigation.

The use of the palm pre as a hot spot while possible is not practical. According to what I have read using their hot spot app cuts the devices battery time in half.
