Texting with an IPad 3G

I use text free it even gives you a phone number in the area of your choosing for free!

Get a google voice number and use that to text. I have it set up to send a notification to my email if I get a new message and then have a google voice shortcut on my desktop. That way you have one number that people can text you on and they will see that number when you text them.
