That's what my mom says about her abacus, lol.

What's funny is remembering that before the ipad was released, many so-called experts said it was basically doa and would be a failure. Lmao.

I was one of the idiots that shunned the iPad. I went on an anti Apple phase after owning an original iPhone, hated being trapped by iTunes, gave the phone away and moved onto android, then the first windows 7 phones, back to Android, then I was debating what phone to get next and my girlfriend got me the ipad4 for Christmas. I didn't want it, but initially faked a happy face and started having a play. I haven't put it down since. I get withdrawal symptoms if it isn't within reach. It is the best bit of tech I have ever owned.

Now if anyone talks about what phone they're getting next I just tell them "buy a new battery for your phone and buy an ipad instead". My One X only comes out if I get a phone call. BTW Android is the absolute worst OS, WP7 (now 8) is actually pretty amazing. Although, I can't see me spending money on a phone ever again. I'd rather have an old Nokia 3310 and an ipad mini than any smartphone. Anyway, squinting at a 4 or 5 inch screen is bad for your eyes and gives you wrinkles :)

Early iPad adopters.

In real world time - the concept predated the tablet screen in 2001 A Space Odyssey, by two years.

Funny, it has screw-in light bulbs on it.

I'll tell my optometrist. He was using an iPhone the last time I saw him, lol. He had an iPad 4, too.
