Sending international imessages

I am aware that you can send iMessages internationally and it doesn't cost anything because they are like sending emails. I'm trying to send one from the UK to my cousin in Canada, I've checked I have the correct number, but he's not receiving it. Has anyone any suggestions please.

You could try sending it to his email address. Have you dial led the number correctly? 001, not just 1, to call Canada from most European countries.

Have you tried getting him to call you? Use the prefix 01144 and miss off the initial 0 to call the UK from Canada.
