Second-hand ipad locked to previous owners Find My iPhone

My husband was made redundant and the company went into liquidation. They told him to keep the ipad. Great! However it's locked to their email/password and we can't get hold of anyone to find out what the details are - believe me we've tried. Is it really just useless now?!!! Not sure which Ipad it is but it does have the small charger socket so it's probably newer than our other pad. Anybody help?

I'm afraid that without the Apple ID and password requested by the iPad, there is no way to use that iPad. There are no workarounds and bypasses available.
