Hi, and welcome to the forum. Good to "see" you and hope you enjoy your visit(s).
I moved your post over to the Help section of the forum - posting it in News was not the best place for it; plus, other eyes will see it better over here.
Now, to your question. Can you explain further - how do you want an SD card to help you? The only way I know to use an SD card is with the camera connection kit so that you can view/transfer photos taken with a digital camera.
There are other uses of an SD card - but you'd have to be jail broken to use them. So, to my original question: What do you need to know about an SD card and the iPad? Once we get your question narrowed down, I'm sure someone can help.
