safari bookmark or favorites?

what is the difference bookmark or favorites? when I go to bookmark a page like I did in the old safari I now have a option to add to bookmark or favorite?

what was wrong with just bookmarking?

When you press on the Safari unibar (to do a search or enter a URL), the new Safari shows Favorites as "hot buttons," like this:

It's a new feature of the iOS 7 Safari. I would presume it makes using your bookmarks a faster process.

You don't have to out anything in the Favorites. It's just a faster way Apple has set up Safari.
