Hello I have a JailBreaked iPad 3.2.1 and I want to restore it to the same firmware. But iTunes is giving me all kind of wierd problems. It gave me 3194, then 3002, now "Update server could not be contacted". I have added 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com to my host file.

U have It jailbreaked - OK
U have made the change In the host file - OK

But have u saved your SHSH file to the server (74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com) ?
U can save It on the server from Cydia or ex TinyUmbrella.

Then do the custom restore with a downloaded 3.2.1 firmware.

Cydia says that i have SHSH for 3.2, 3.21, 3.2.2.

I still get the same error/errors :(

Barnabas ! try this

If u are able to fill the white bar or almost fill it or even can pass it and u get stuck or it freeze or get an error code during the restore process, let it be there and try to kick it out of that lock/freeze with bootrec and maybe it boot without being interupt, coz the firmware is already loaded into the ipad when it almost has filled the bar.

You find bootrec here for win and osx:
RecBoot - One Click Recovery Mode (Enter and Exit)

Also read the apple forum on error 9.
Apple - Support - Discussions - Cannot restore iPad: Unknown error (9) ...
