Rename icon names of Apps

Is there a way to rename the icon names of the apple apps WITHOUT jailbreaking. I want to change the names that will give more meaning to what i exactly do with them.

Hi upperscore. It is not possible to rename an app, whether an iPad native or App store downloaded one. However you can group like apps into folders that you can rename. Press down on any app until they all start to wiggle. Then if you slide one or more similar type apps (eg games), onto a single app you can get and rename the resulting folder. Not what you really wanted but it's the best option available.
