Removing Unwanted App From Itunes Window

An unwanted app can be removed from the iPad by removing the check mark in iTunes. How does (can) one remove the unwanted App's icon totally from a very cluttered iTunes Screen?

Once you uncheck the app in iTunes and sync, it will be removed from your iPad.

Sorry, I guess my question was not clear. How to remove the icon for unwanted apps from the iTunes screen on my desktop? That was the question.

Many apps were not what I thought they were. I will not use them. Unchecking them in iTunes takes them off the iPad. Now, how to remove the icon from the iTunes screen on the desktop?

In iTunes, left column, under "Library" click on "Apps". There you can right click and delete any app you want, you can always re-download them if you want to use them later.
