I have a good IPSW of 5.01 and my BLOBs, is there anything else I need to do before I restore to 5.01 ?

Thanks
Randy

I'm assuming you are talking of an iPad1, correct?

You need to run either iFaith v1.4.2 or redsn0w to build a custom IPSW first. Since Apple is no longer signing 5.0.1, then this custom IPSW is what you'll need to use, because you can't restore to 5.0.1 without the custom-built IPSW. IOW, you can't just put iOS 5.0.1 back on the iPad1, you have to do it via pwned mode with the custom IPSW.

Hope that clarifies. And, if you've already done that (created a custom IPSW) - you should be good to go. But again, remember you have to reinstall the iOS from pwned DFU mode.

Of course, to any one reading - this only applies to the iPad1. You can't restore 5.0.1 back on your iPad2 regardless of SHSH blobs.

Here's hoping I didn't muddy the waters too much ... or misunderstand the question.

It's an iPad 2 at 5.01 and JB. Was just wanting to remove the JB and go back to plain 5.01. I really didn't want to take the 5.1 update just yet. Guess I'll just stay at 5.01 and the JB.
