They are rescue dogs, kept with 40 other dogs in a metal building 8 by 14. He was very I'll from kennel cough and an intestinal bug. Had to quarantine him for three months. Doc had given up on, was going to have to take him to A&M to figure it ot after a lot of expensive drugs that are dangerous for little ones. In desperation, I put him on a natural herb remedy...he quite coughing nag lungs cleared up in 1 wk after that. Then we discovered from inbreeding he had a testical that was trapped in his abdomen that was infected. Touch and go for a while, but he made it. And is such a lovey! Expensive little devil. Wouldn't trade him for anything. He was so malnourished at 8 wks only weighed 8 ounces. Put on 2 ounces first 48 hrs we had him. The conditions were awful. After surgery and all the mess he just sprouted and flourished. Is the town greeter now.

Here's my pooch Sophie! She was just diagnosed with nasal cancer. She'll be starting radiation tomorrow. She's 11 now but in a perfect world, we can give her at least another year with excellent quality of life. I love my Sofer Dog!

My four-legged-people is Rocky. He is a Min Pin. At 5 years old (last year) he was diagnosed with diabetes. He did good until about 2 months ago. Last week he went through another high blood sugar period. Just as we got it back down, he is showing signs of trouble again. This picture was taken several years ago. Hubby thinks this is so cute so I just had to include it.

My dog's a swimmer

Took Gypsy to the lakes along the Tucannon River today. Turns out she likes to swim. Who knew? She won't go near a hose.

But by the end of the day I had one pooped puppy. She slept the whole way home, and can't be bothered to move even for a snack tonight. I bet she'll be sore an stiff tomorrow. Me too, it was a lot of walking.

I got her when she was about two, should be almost five now. We are guessing Rotweiler and something, maybe Gordon Setter.

Yes, I can see it now! My sister-in-law who died the other month, loved Red setters and Gordon Setters. I can see she has that look! My Pomeranian is 5. Aren't dogs and cats satisfyingly loving and giving! All they want is love, affection and food.

Just discovered the app My Dog. It records statistics for the dog, meds, vaccinations etc. Can also be emails to vet, dog groomed etc.

I've got Pet Journal app for my babies details but I daresay there are a few of these apps floating about. The worst bit is having to list your pet as deceased!
