Actually it was Plainsman who suggested it first.

I just liked the idea, happened to have Pages for OS X, made a few for myself, and decided that as long as I'd gone that far I might as well share with the those that lacked the software.

No problem.

The Letter and A4 sizes display almost ideally on the iPad; which is probably why they were chosen. Still, I'm sure more control of page size and layout is something Apple has in the works, but it might not be much of a priority.

It can't hurt to let them know you consider it important.
