New user needing help, IPAD 3 blocked

Good afternoon, I won some time ago an ipad from my ex-wife, only the Icloud account was hers, and I have never traded, only after the separation that was very complicated, she blocked the equipment by reason of theft, is there a way to unlock the device or will only serve to go to waste, model, A1430 thank you very much.

There's no way to use an iDevice locked by iCloud's activation lock. If she doesn't remove this iPad from her iCloud account and "Find my iPad", it's nothing but a paperweight. Sorry!
