Well, after a very quiet period in iDevice jailbreaking, today we have a new tool on the block, namely ac1dsn0w from the pwn dev-team.
iPad owners needn't get too excited at this stage however. The new tool is simply an alternative method to jailbreak the iPad1 tethered on 5.0 or 5.0.1, a feat which is already accomplished by redsn0w and sn0wbreeze.
However, any new team and tool on the scene is a very welcome addition and the hope is that this will develop into a decent tool which adds additional value over and above the existing solutions. At the moment, the tool is only released for OSX.
