Mass delete of emails

IS there a way to empty the inbox. After resetting my iPad I have 500 emails in my inbox.

There's an easy way to remove them all at once. In the inbox, tap "Edit":




Select one message (1) and then tap "Move"(2):




Hold "Move" and deselect the email. Release "Move", and this will appear:



With 500 emails, it might need a little bit of time until it completes.

Choose the folder where you want to move the emails.

Yes J, you " Brainiac " - if you write an email, you are half way through and it disappears, my friend told me there was a way to get it back! You know anything about that? Kind of the opposite of delete and more like an up delete?

Maybe it's in Drafts then. I don't know of another possibility to find it.

This doesn't work with the new mail 7.1. Anyone know how to do this with the latest Mail? I don't use mail, I use Boxer since I have multiple email accounts, but Mail is taking up a lot of memory.

It should work this way. You choose the mailbox where the emails should be moved.

In the Inbox, tap "Edit"












When you lift your finger, the "Move" button will disappear. See my last screenshot.

Ugh! Tried this. It only works for the ones I manually select. I must be doing something wrong.

Select only one email - the first one. Then tap Move and hold it. Deselect the email you selected before, and lift your finger from Move.
