Maps edit/draw etc

Just got an iPad last week, need help.

Is there any way to add lines, pins, etc to Google Earth on the iPad?

It you'll tap the layers button at the top left you will see a My Maps option. You have to signup for a My Maps account, but once you do you can use standard KML files. Many tracking/mapping sites and programs will generate KML files.
