I have mini-pad, with ver: 7.0.4. About every 3rd time I turn it on, it comes on without sound---even though the settings say I have 100% volume etc.. To get sound, I have to recheck my 'sound' settings, then reboot. It is very frustrating! Am I not doing something I should be doing, or doing something I shouldn't?

Hi Mooseman - welcome to the forum! :) Just for starters (and sorry if you've already checked), how is your 'Side Switch' (see attached pic if not sure) set in 'Settings', i.e. to 'Lock Rotation' or 'Mute' - if on the latter, is the switch being inadvertently placed to mute the sound? Dave

Thanx giradman. I'll try the 'lock rotation or 'mute' However if I put the switch on 'lock rotation' will I be able to rotate the pad?

Well, regarding the sound, you just need to see if the 'Side Switch' is set to mute & whether it was muted or not - can keep as is w/ the mute off if you prefer; however, if you set the switch in Settings to lock rotation, then the screen orientation (relative to portrait vs. landscape) will not change as you rotate the iPad. But let us know if this may have solve your problem - otherwise, need to find another solution - good luck! Dave
