ITunes and Apps

I understand there is a 20MB size limit for downloading any app to your IPAD. Why is it that anytime I try to download an app to my IPAD under 20MB it starts the download and just before its finished is sYs I have to log into Itunes on my PC?

I've had this as well and it only seems to affect certain apps. Not sure what the problem is but I hope someone comes up with an answer, because I never connect my iPad to my PC.

Thanks for the post back Tim, I normally don't connect to my pc either.
