Hello to all

I to them comment on dear friends that my ipad does little receipt, it was very filled with enthusiasm and I gave myself to the task of seeking For Apps to enrich them and to improve it in many aspects but I realized that the existing ones only were expiring partially with my expectations and therefore they were not of my total pleasure, it was that way until I found this site in the network that was promising myself to give me the aptitude to change this situation and to allow me transform my ipad to an unimaginable level, so well. It wanted to know that you think in the matter.

Thank you very much for all those who take part. An embrace.:D:D:D

I they attach the URL. (no, ed.)

It is certainly possible to learn to write some kind of app in just four weeks, but hit pay dirt? Any time someone starts offering you 'easy' money it is pretty much a scam.

I went through the first three iOS course lectures from Stanford University [ you can find them in iTunes U]. Took about three days to write a quick little calculator app, one lesson a day. The step between following instructions to make a cookie cutter app and developing worthwhile apps of your own is a big one.

If you really want to write apps you are better off with a combination of the many free tutorials and courses on the internet and some well selected, and reviewed books and tutorials. Be prepared to spend months, not weeks, before you write your first usable app, let alone make money off it.

Writing quality apps takes time, learning, and effort just like any other worthwhile endeavor.

Many thanks for that, as usual, wise advice, twerppoet. I have downloaded the Stanford course material too and can confirm, it's hard going.

What continues to amaze me is all the free material that's available there - from Universities all over the world - it's an under-publicised resource. Complete University degree courses from the best Universities in the world, for free..

Creating iOS apps is definitely something that's been on my to-do list for far too long. Thanks for the recommendation of the Stanford courses. I'll Google those.

Just go to the iPad's iTunes app and click on 'iTunes U' on the bottom right hand side of the screen. Most all the University course videos are free - including the iOS developer's course.

Great. Thanks Tim! Much appreciated. I spend so much time during the week on the laptop and iPad for my job that I rarely get to enjoy any "geek time" for myself.

When you're in iTunes U, choose 'Universities and Colleges', then scroll through the pop-up box to Stanford, then scroll the window to the right and you'll soon find Paul Hegarty 'Developing apps for iOS' - there are two separate sets of 25 lectures - some serious mind-blowing stuff!! And it's all completely free. What a resource...
