Is ClamCase one-of-a-kind?

Is there anything else like the ClamCase that feels like a laptop? (as in you could adjust the screen etc to how you want it). I have the iPad 1 but don't feel like spending $150 to get a used version of this. Is there any other alternative? I've tried others like the Brookstone but they aren't really sturdy enough if you are using it in your lap (as opposed to on a desk).
