I I'm new to the iPad I've found my new iPad keeps shutting down while im in different program's , anyone out there who can help me?

Welcome to this forum. Look around and you'll find lots of great tips.
For your problem, check setting> auto-lock and set to a higher number or never.
While you are in settings, check them all out. You may find something else you didn't know you wanted (needed) to do.
