Ipad3 exchange for ipad4

Does anyone know for sure if we can exchange our ipad3 with ipad 4 one's for free? If yes, how old could be my ipad so apple will accept it?. Is that exchange available in all countries?

Some Apple Stores in some countries are known to have exchanged iPad 3's bought just before the iPad 4 was released. This happened in the days just after release of the iPad 4 . I don't know it is still happening. Your best bet is to contact your local Apple Store and ask.
