iPad Pro Rumors Resurface Again, to be Released by this Year's End

We took a break from reporting iPad Pro-related stories, but it seems that the rumor mill is back at it. According to a fresh report from the far-East Economic Daily newspaper, Apple’s elusive large-screened iPad, dubbed many the iPad Pro, is still on the cards and is aimed for a release before the end of this year.

The publication notes that the device will make use of TPK’s next-generation touch sensors which replaces indium tin oxide with silver nanowire ink due to its better conductive properties. iDownloadBlog has more details on this:

Switching to silver nanowire-based touch films should theoretically allow Apple’s engineers to outfit the device with sapphire glass without having to add extra sensors for accurately determining touch location.

Silver nanowire films are flexible, which would allow Apple to use LG’s flexible OLED displays, like it was rumored not long ago

When compared to rumors relating to the iWatch launch, the iPad Pro seems less real to happen, mainly because there hasn't been any moves from Apple that could suggest that. However, analysts like KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo, believes the iPad Pro could launch sometime next year.

Apple already has the "normal" sized iPad Air, along with the smaller iPad Mini, and with the iPad Pro, it would seem that Apple could satisfy all of the user needs. However, recent surveys have shown that consumers don't really want tablets that big.
