Hello. I am an iPad newbie. I bought the iPad so I dont have to take my laptop for 1-2 day travel. I use basic apps for fitness, reading, and other entertainment. Just recently bought a second home and subscribed to internet but don't want to pay for internet connection and have 3G on my iPad 2. Does anyone know if I can use the wireless connection on my iPad 2 to support apps on my Smart TV?

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

A personal hotspot is not available for an ipad2 and even then I don't know if a later iPad would support what you would like to do.

I've moved your thread to our Help Section where you will receive a better response.

I'm not completely sure what you are wanting to do, but you might want to look into an AppleTV. If you can watch it on the iPad, and AppleTV will probably let you watch it on the TV. Some apps don't' let this happen, but most of the video streaming apps will.

You'll need your own wi-fi network as well, on that both the iPad and AppleTV can join.
