ipad locked

I have a message on my screen which reads "iCloud Backup". This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi. There is an "OK" button but this is not responding and I am unable to delete this message and use my iPad. Any thoughts.

Have you reset and/or restarted?

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

I have done a warm reboot which has solved the problem
