iPad Generation?

I heard on the radio the other the day, of a 1year old (approximately) child attempting to use iPad gestures on a hard copy book (you know a book with actual pages) and being puzzled when nothing happened.

The other day like before they were introduced? You mean just the single swipe thing? Because that is very much like turning the page of a book anyway, and not too many one year olds can d that with precision anyway!

I often touch my laptop screen and am surprised nothing happens!!

I wasn't paying close attention at the time so 1 year old may not be correct. It was a very young child though.

I have noticed (from observing my grandchildren) that young children seem to develop an interest in computer screens, TVs, push buttons and keyboards very early in life.

My mom wanted to look at a shopping site online and she's as computer illiterate as you can get. I pulled up the site on my laptop for her and told her to just move up and down to see the whole page. She tried swiping the screen rather than using the arrows even though she had never done either one. I asked her why she did that and she said she was just trying to imitate what she had seen me do.
