ipad dead and not charging! :(

My ipad appears to be dead, I've had it on charge all night but it shows no signal of being charged nor does it do anything to say it is on charge. I have tried the hard reset, home button + awake/sleep button, to no avail. Still nothing. I know the cable works cos it charges other ipads just not this one! What can I do? It's making me really sad cos it is only a few months old

If its only a few months old then ring apple. It should be still under warranty surely. i don't know the laws in your country but when I had problems with my iPad I took it back to the shop and they would only offer to send it away to be fixed. Apple though were very happy to replace it altogether.
