How can I tell the difference between my iPad charger and my iPhone.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!
The iPad charger is much bigger than the iPhone charger but it doesn't matter if you do get them mixed up, no harm will be done. The iPad will take a lot longer to charge with the iPhone charger though.
