I would wish for a bit of that. 45-50 degrees here. Sadly I return home on Monday, will miss the family loads but not the weather here.

No. The family will be back (albeit in a haphazard split manner) for the summer and summer holidays, hence why my visit back here will be so delayed.

Yeah, having the family back piecemeal is better than nothing. Will miss the doggies though. Wife and the kids will also go on and on about how much they miss the dogs. The little ones have I infested all of us in that we all get withdrawal symptoms if they are not there.

Typical! Neither do I, so it's no good asking you then, Is it? Each drive has 60gb so that's 120gb so is that enough to backup? On the off chance could I put windows backup onto a mac? Would you know that or do I have to rely on my old favourite Internet for answer?

The back up programme which use is Genie Backup Manager version 4.00.
I'm currently backing up everything. I also rescheduled the backups to coincide with when I put the bins out. A necessary readjustment to my new lifestyle. Thanks Gabriel for the virtual kick up the proverbial!

I have my PC and various accessories plugged into 2 power surge protected extension leads. One set is unplugged from the mains so that I can use my DAB radio/iPod dock. The unplugged extension is for rarely used accessories and the powerless for the external hard drive. I went to unplug the radio,and guess what unplugged the PC!   It shows you how long it is since I last ran a back up.
Backup's progressing well and I'm listening to music on the iPad it's nice to catchup without Radio on..

My backup is still going; at 50% now. I am doing a full one.

The external drive's 298Gb is being eaten up! I hope to have about 100Gb free space on completion. All of the iTunes files will be safe.
