IPAD 11 Charging Cord??

My wife just picked up the latest IPAD at Target.
What on earth is this charging cord??
Tried plugging it into my desktop to download the old backup from ITunes and it's not a regular USB!!
Doing the Bluetooth to Bluetooth thing now.....
What do we need to go from this new IPAD to the desktop's regular USB port in the future??

Hey Ken - since you did not post a pic of the cable, I have no idea what you are talking about? I assume the usual cable would be USB-C to USB-C like the first image below, unless it is one of those convertible ones like the bottom pic? And why not back up to old iPad to iCloud using Wi-Fi - my preferred option. Dave

Thanks for the rapid reply.
Our IPADS are always backed up to the cloud automatically. Since I couldn't plug this new cord into my old USB computer to get to ITunes, we did the wifi transfer between the old IPAD and this new one which worked great.

This latest IPAD we got today is 11 and your first photo is what came with it. It's an A16 or 19 chip......something like that!
In that second photo I see "adapters" which is probably what we need?
Our old IPADS used the "lightning" cords with the regular old USB on charger end. I thought that's what this new one would be!!!
I think you answered our questions!!
