Maybe so but I posted this as soon as the ios5 was announced earlier, and I didn't see no other ios5 post.

Back to the subject in hand, the more I read about the new iOS the more I can wait, it's looking really good. The imessaging I can't wait for and to be able to message other ios5 users will be great as I know quite a few people who will be able to use it.

Don't forget Twitter integration.
A split keyboard to make your Ipad more "iPhone like" just confused me (their words in the release video). The BBM clone is another original idea as well. What's going to be in ios6, settings widgets?
I'd like to see them take the OS of the Ipad and separate it from the iPod and iPhone, make it tablet specific.
I'm trying to find out if the rumor is true that app and os updates will just be updates and not total dump of the old and total new replacement and if the license renewal bug in wifi was addressed. Rumor beforehand was they are but the video I saw from Apple didn't mention them.

Yep. The guy who offered udid registration is working on getting me a download link. The dev site is doing some funky stuff right now.
I am a developer, but I don't pay so I don't get downloads. I just get I formational stuff like the releases of stuff and the wwdc email.

There are a lot of features that are just what has been requested from everyone. So much for Apple not listening to us. I think that most will appreciate not having to sync with a PC for startup and downloads. There are a lot of good features that we should be able to enjoy. I think iCloud will be very handy. The $24.99/yr fee for allowing you to move many of your songs bought from Amazon and other sources will be nice, especially since they will offer higher resolution versions. Considering that between the three options, this is the only one that will not be subject to a lawsuit.

I'm not interested in icloud usage. Just doesn't suit my style.

But, I'm I right in thinking I can wirelessly back up, sync and transfer media back and forth to my pc without a cable, over wifi without the cloud?
Again, i'll be able to upgrade my firmware wirelessly too? Or can I also upgrade my firm ware over wifi via my pc/iTunes?

Basically, to make my iPad a wireless device, but still use my pc as my main itunes and media dump, can I do this with or without the cloud, or both? ( I never purchase songs, I just rip my own CDs)

Also, I can dump Atomic web browser back to Safari as it'll now have tabs
