Inactivity logoff preventer?

I don't have 3G on my iPad but I'm able to find lots of wifi spots but its really annoying when I lose them due to inactivity and have to reenter passwords. Is there a way an app or something can be triggered to reset the inactivity timers?

Sorry I don't know of any app to do this, but someone else may.
