The smaller one is called "Tenorhorn" in Bb. I couldn’t find an English expression for it. It belongs to the saxhorn family. The other one is a helicon.

Thanks - probably a bunch of different names in different languages - not sure if the 'saxhorn' is related to the saxophone family, which are single reed instruments, so not the same - BUT, unimportant, the horns look great - did you get a chance to hear them? Dave :)

We have marching competition today, so we were rehearsing last evening. I'm playing the flute, and when we're standing or sitting in "concert formation", they are behind us flutes, which means I hear them quite often. I like their soft, low sound. It sounds almost the same as an euphonium.

Saxhorn has nothing to do with saxophones. As you noticed, a Tenorhorn is a brass instrument, whereas saxophones are not.
