Afraid of snakes? Ilha de Queimada Grande, nicknamed 'Snake Island,' an island off the coast of the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil is home to the Golden Lancehead Viper, one of the most venomous snakes in the world. Local legend claims there are five snakes to every square meter. (Wikimedia/Otavio Marques)

The Stanley Hotel in Colo. hosted Stephen King, inspiring him to write 'The Shining.' Guests of the hotel have reported seeing items move from place to place, hearing the sound of children laughing on the fourth floor, and hearing music and revelers in the Music Room. (Flickr/Nomadic Lass)

Have fun with those photos

Hi ALL - I'm a BIG movie fan, and have been replacing many of my DVDs w/ BDs (i.e. Blu-ray discs) - tonight I watched a new arrival, the film Stagecoach (1939) w/ John Wayne et al - this was Wayne's break-through film; directed by the great John Ford and a superb Criterion restoration - I usually post my movie reviews in another website, but thought the pic below would fit this thread - Ford filmed the movie in Monument Valley (on the Arizona-Utah border) and as I was perusing some color images of the place many popped up but the one shown is just beautiful - now, I've been to the American southwest many times but have never visited this place which was used for many western films in bygone days. Dave :) P.S. click to enlarged!

I was in Vienna this afternoon, and when driving back, took a few pictures.

This is the highway heading to/from Vienna, seen from a resting spot. Vienna Airport is just behind the hill, but not visible from where I took it.

This can be found near Neusiedl am See. The hills actually are a part of the Leitha Mountains.

Both photos are cropped and enhanced.

This picture is from today's sunset, this time without water.

This is the original photo, neither enhanced, nor cropped.

Thank you! :-)

Believe it or not, thanks to iPF, I've discovered taking pictures as a hobby. :-) I don't know if I have a talent. My sunset pictures are at the moment the only ones that really turn out about the way I wanted them to be.
