It was at least a mile long, with one engine in the middle and another at the end of the train. This train was likely carrying wheat to Vancouver for shipment overseas.Nice picture! It looks as if the train has no end.
I looks like a female Wood Duck. Wood Ducks nest in trees, usually near the water but occasionally up to a mile away.A sight I've never seen before. Find the duck!
This year's wheat? It was at least a mile long, with one engine in the middle and another at the end of the train. This train was likely carrying wheat to Vancouver for shipment overseas.
They're still shipping last years wheat to market. We had a record harvest last year and the railroads don't have the capacity to ship it quickly enough. This years wheat won't be harvested until September/October. The planting of this years crop has only been going on for about 2-3 weeks. This year's wheat? We'll start harvesting in June, and I know that my region is earlier than the rest of Austria.
Thank you! I already supposed something like that. They're still shipping last years wheat to market. What you posted is still nice. What crop is it?It's that time again when I'm reminded of Monet when I look at some of the fields here I wanted to show a different version of this sight, but can't post it.
Thank you. What you posted is still nice. What crop is it?
They're so beautiful, Diane! I'm very glad you could take pictures! This one is for everyone! Especially for Johanna! The wild rose bush in the back yard hasn't begun to bloom, however in my front yard the trees and shrubs are going wild! There is a lilac, an aromatic Azalea which smells heavenly, and then two Rhododendron's, one bright purple finished blooming and the one you see is blooming now! In one photo you can see a tiny piece of the chicken yard, and the blue skies through the trees is the lake we canoe around! The high hedge gives me almost total privacy! I LOVE that!
