I got a a Bushnell spotting scope today so I could finally try out my SnapZoom with the iPhone. I'm moderately pleased. There is quite a bit of distortion and color fringing, but I'm willing top put up with that for the major magnification; 20x to 60x.

Here's a picture of the moon, cropped to get rid of the non-moon parts of the picture. There is very little digital zoom to this. Blurring is all about clouds and keeping the scope steady.

I took this photo yesterday, and was not really satisfied with the original, coloured picture. I ended up with this version:

The white spot in the upper part is the moon. Here's the original, for comparism:

Special, because it's mine, perhaps? ;-) It's an ordinary Canon EOS Rebel T3i. :-)

Gosh, how colorful, beautiful and huge! Great weather too!
The weather last August when I took those picture was much better than right now. It just started snowing quite heavily, I hope I don't have to shovel in the morning. :(

Stayed up for most of the lunar eclipse, and videoed it using the iPhone, my SnapZoom adaptor and the Bushnell spotting scope. The results aren't great, but I had fun. It's a little over 4 minutes, after I deleted a 'lot' of stuff.
