Computer colorized historical photos - I'm sure that we've all seen some of these amazing transformations (just google the term for a LOT of examples (added a few images below); also, one of my brothers just sent me THIS LINK (hit the play button, bottom left), kind of a slide show of some of these pics put to music - enjoy! Dave :)

Great pics Dave. I like that one of Lincoln, but better I think in black and white. Great pic of Humphrey...and those other two;)

Hi Andrew - yep, when you've been use to seeing those iconic photos in B&W, hard to adjust sometimes but some of those are amazing. For myself, I virtually never watch the 'colorized' versions of old B&W movies - just removes a lot of the subtlety & mystery from the contrasting shades. Dave :)

Hi Johanna - being an enophile, I was looking at your first image; of course, a vineyard - trying to figure out the vine trellising (many options) - looks like some 'double row' arrangement? In the USA, many different ones are used but the single row T-shaped are common (such as Cordon - just saw some real ones on our recent wine tour in NC) - not sure what are the common choices in Austria (not that familiar w/ the wines there although the 'whites' in particular receive some excellent reviews in the Wine Spectator) - also love the wind machines - for those here not knowing the reason - first not to produce electricity, but to create 'air circulation' around the vines especially in the spring when temps might overly chill or freeze the vines/grape grooming - Dave :) <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=46468"/>
Here's the exact answer to this question:

Thank you! :-)
I'm a little bit sad (not the right expression, but I couldn't find a better one) because it looks like it's out of focus in the app, although it isn't.

For the last few days I've been exploring abstracts in the SketchClub app. Then yesterday I got caught up on the idea of Mandala like images, and went bonkers. Here's the results.

I did this one, more or less doodling away.

Then I saw another person do a sketch they called -mandallic-, and liked it. So I asked and they pointed me to a template. This was the result.

Mandalish1.webp

I didn't like the 16 slice template very much, so I made my own, and took another whack at it. This is my favorite, so far.

But once I had the template it was rather easy, and fun, to do another.

Then another.

Now I'm done with them, for at least a little while. Unless I think up something else to try, or I'm bored and too lazy to try something entirely new.
