A anjali8 iPF Noob Nov 30, 2012 #1 when i try to download xcode from app store i get error msg 'safari can not download this file'. Installed download app and downloaded dmg file, now i don't know how to execute it or if at all i can run it.

Somerled iPF Novice Nov 30, 2012 #2 xcode is only for OSX. It cannot be downloaded and run on an iPad.

Somerled iPF Novice Nov 30, 2012 #4 DMG files are only for OSX. You cannot install xcode on an iPad, or any iOS device.
twerppoet iPad Fan Nov 30, 2012 #6 Perhaps you are confusing the Mac App Store with the App Store. The first is only for OS X (Macs). On the computer, the App Store is found as part of iTunes. (though they divided up into separate apps on the iPad).
