How does the 10W Power Adapter work

I got the 10W Power Adapter and one end goes into the a power outlet, what does the other end attach to? I don't have any plugs with that type of connection.

USB end of cable goes into 10W power adapter, other end of cable has a 30 pin ipod connector that plugs into your ipad.

Go to the User Guide [either printed or on line] and you will find a diagram that shows where the other connector goes.

One piece hooks into the other and then plugs into the wall and the ipad at each end.
