How do I delete Facebook messages from my iPad2

I can't figure out how to delete my Facebook messages from my iPad2. Help please.

Hold 3 fingers down on it, a red box with 'remove' will appear. Just tap remove =)

Ah sorry, just realised u said messages. This works for wall posts and pics but not messages =\

I don't think you can delete messages, either from within the Facebook app or the Messenger app. Incidentally it's impossibly to permanently delete messages from Facebook at all - it looks like you can but, the moment that person messages you again, the entire history will re-appear.

As for deleting wall posts, swiping left on them to reveal the Remove button is far easier than three fingers
