How do I connect a Bluetooth headset

All I am trying to find out is if anyone has found a way to connect a bluetooth headset to an ipad 1 and use skype with it.

I moved your question and started a thread. To start your own thread, go to ipadforums.net, click on the iPad Forum button, select a topic area that most suits your need (say 'iPad Help') and there you'll see a 'Start New Thread' button.

Regarding your Bluetooth question, the iPad1 only supports a limited number of Bluetooth profiles and a headset is not one of them. It will support Bluetooth stereo headphones (these have a different Bluetooth profile) but not the mobile phone headsets.
