Hints on Triple Entendre

Hi I am stuck on #12 on regular triple e and #47 on moron. I have tried literally everything for 47 and searched for the actual quote, found it, put it in and it didnt take it! I also flipped the quote around every which way tried everything but to no avail. As for 12 on the regular one I can only make out the word USA and I think it's about some historical event but haven't the slightest idea which one. Googled 1985 historical events US and a HUGE list came up would of taken me a year to read it all.very hard to read the word after USA - I'm playing this game on my iPod touch which has a very small screen! Anyway any help with 12 reg and 47 moron would be greatly appreciated!

Concentrate on the state and the sport. The picture gives you a clue as to the one which you are seeking.

I know the currency, the "man's name" mentioned in other hints.... it seems I know all about it, but no combination of words and figures I'm trying are correct. Frustrating sometimes that there isn't just a HAIR more flexibility in the answers.

Geez. I was always including the unit... Exactly what I mean about needing just a bit more flexibility in the answers. I always assume you need the unit of measure. Guess its the math/science guy in me.
