Hello.. I'm new to these forums.. I just bought my first iPad for school, as I am just starting my first semester in college. I hope to use it as my daily tool, so far I find the iPad to be a great instrument! I hope this turns out to be a good investment.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

Absolutely - there's no problem. It's not illegal at all. Head on over to the Hacking section. However, we do not condone the use of cracked or stolen apps. Jail breaking the iPad is simply a way of letting it run non-Apple programs. There are many non-Apple apps available in the Cydia store, which is a legal repository of apps for JB iPads. But we absolutely support the right of developers to receive fair recompense for their hard work in developing these apps, so we don't tolerate any discussion of ways to circumvent paying for apps.
