Hi all,

I believe my iPad is infected!! I received an email last nite from "order-update@amazon.com".....below is a pic of it..
yahoomail.JPG
I opened it and clicked the link thinking this was an email regarding to a funny parcel i received last Friday. I of course used my iPad to read my mails and carelessly i clicked the link curiously to find out what is in the parcel. Came to a canadian website selling viagra and other weird meds. On the parcel i received also said "contains bottle of Vitamins X1". I googled what on earth is going on and who is this order-update@amazon. Seems many ppl received such emails in last few days, and they too say dunt open the link, which sadly i did. It is a spam mail, containing malicious malware...

Pls help, how do i scan my iPad for malware or any viruses....Thanks alot.

Am relatively sure the exploit is windows based.....they always are !

No seriously, I would not be concerned. You fell victim to the redirect, nothing more I suspect.

Do you have an Apple store near by? If so I would take it there and have it checked, else contact Apple, they must have a phone number for support in Germany. Keep us updated.

I also receive a similar email last friday, I check my amazon account, nothing strange.
So I just delete the email. I already learnt my lesson not to click anything on a suspicious email.

Here is the good news. You don't have a virus. That email is typically refereed to as a "Phishing Scam". They simply want you to click on a link to see if you might want to buy their "fishy" product.

So simply delete the email and you will be just fine.

Agreed. That's definitely not a virus. Worse case scenario is your e-mail has been hacked. You could change your mail password if you think that is the case. I agree that you should just delete the note though.
