Hello,
I am new to the forum. I just bought my 89 year old father an I Pad. I am in NJ and he is in FL. While I was visiting I set him up. Everything was going great. Now I am home and he got himself in trouble. I don't know how to help him from so far away.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Help with Father

Is ther an app that I can put on my I Pad so I can control my father's I Pad when he needs help. That way when he gets himself in trouble I can get him out of it.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
I'm totally serious with the following. Tell him to make use of the home button. Learn it, use it often and if it gets too confusing and he gets it all wonked out, hold the sleep button until the red icon shows up, power it off, then back on.
I understand what it's like trying to teach an older man (my 82 year old dad) new technology. He got his first cell phone a few months before he died and kept getting stuck trying to use voicemail. Once he realized it was not broken and he could start over he got the hang of it much faster.
Hope that helps
