Hi
My name is Tom . I do need some help. I placed some pictures onto my iPad from my camera card and I have lost them . Is there a way to retrieve them as I have somehow lost them in photos and there is no trash bin to get them from.
Any help would be appreciated.
Is there an app to help recover them???
Tom

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

You are, relatively speaking, a very young Member. Our oldest Member is over 100 years old and she celebrated her 100th birthday by showing her children, grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren a slide show of pictures taken throughout her life on her iPad couple via an HDMI- connector to her flat screen TV.

I noticed your question, too, about 'lost' photos. Did you sync your iPad to your PC or Mac at all. Sometimes pictures can get temporarily 'lost' during this process. Or did they simply 'disappear'? Let us know and we'll do what we can to help.

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

If you know any of the filenames you could swipe to the left hand home screen, type the filename in the search box and if it's on your iPad the search should find it.

Hi Tom!

Hopefully someone who actually knows the answer will reply to your post, but I just wanted to compliment you on not only still being here, but jumping into something new! I hope you'll be kind to this kid, I am only 62. Any tips?

I've just been messing with the Camera Connection Kit, and learning to my dismay that we seem not to have much control over where our files go. What I see is that there are at least three "directories" for photos; Camera Roll, Latest Imports, and All Imports. Imports are anything you upload from a camera. Camera Roll is anything you create or change on the iPad, including pictures you take with the iPad 2's cameras. in Photo, you'll see a "heap" of pictures for each of these storage areas if you have anything in them. So open Photo and tell us what you see. If you tap or unpinch a heap it will explode into thumbnails of all the pictures in it.

If you see nothing in Photos, I'd be puzzled, but soon come to suspect that your import didn't happen. Maybe you didn't finish it, or you interrupted it?

Okay, someone who really knows is up next!
