Val, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't get around to things! :) and, I might need to commission you and your printing press!

Donna, love your treasures! Hope the hub's ok.

Carolyn, Master O asked what middle school is? (approx age)

Chumleyboo, level 77

Woo Hoo! You win!! Is hubby OK? His knee will bend again? GC: pristoph ......... HD Level 53.....DV Level 32
he is just fine. BP up tho, so a little concerned about that, on his pain med's. Mello as can be, expect the crankiness tomorrow. So I may runout and play a few holes of golf tomorrow. Thanks for asking. It really was kind of a mild procedure, and he is in pretty good health overall. All he want!s to do is get back to golf, biking and work.

How "up" is his BP, Donna? GC: EyeC999 Level 88
he has never had high BP, it was 142 over 85 when we left, but it was higher than that when we arrived. He did hit 165 over 90 at one time. Think I will go take it now

My hubby's a nurse, and said it's no problem at all, he'll be fine :). Lol! Hope you don't mind me sharing that with him... He also said you can expect the crankiness to kick in in 3 - 4 days when he has to do the physical therapy exercises - "ouch!" Poor you and poor him - we'll pray for you both! GC: EyeC999 Level 88
do not mind at all, sent ya a pm. Not sure if he is going to do much physical therapy, tho it think he should. Anxious to get back to work. It is crucial time for his work, maybe why his BP is up. Anyway he feels fine.

OK, never did do the door, but this was funny. Last think my husband said to me before going under for his knee surgery today was. " don't sell the silver". LOL Have no idea where the rest of it is. <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=52913"/> But I found some copper and gold also. Who hoo. Sent from my IPad using IPF. I missed a few, so... Here we go...

Val... One bird puzzle piece, one National Park coin, one bird puzzle piece, on National Park coin...:)

Donna... Sell all the silver, copper, and gold. Go to the mall and buy cute stuff for you. Stop at VS to get a lil sumpin for your man when his BP isn't the only thing __!

Anth... Tell the O middle school (Junior high in my day) is after elementary school so 10/11/12 to 13/14/15 years old depending on when you started schooling in the first place (4-6 years old), if your elementary school goes through fifth grade or sixth grade, when your birthday occurs, and if one was held back for a variety of reasons.

Samantha.... slippers are cozy! True, money is cozier... JK!!!!!! :)

Nancy... Samantha is the one that has the two Lears, not Val. Val has 73 Lears!!!!!!!! :)

You girlies are the best!!! :)

I have some more money pics: The first one is a slew of coinage!! Then there is the Kennedy half dollar key chain! (I know you all wish you had that!!). Then a dime from 1886 next to a 60's dime. Next are silver dollars from 1881, 1886, 1898, and 1986. When I was young, we visited my Grandparents who lived in Bakersfield, California. When we would be ready to leave, we all would circle, hold hands, and pray for a safe drive home. Then, Grandpa would hand each of us four kids a silver dollar. He would "sneak" them to us a give us each a wink. So cute!! So, some of these are from him ;). Then, is a half dollar, dollar, and a quarter. Ummm, how come the dollar is smaller than the half dollar and barely bigger than the quarter????!! Finally (phew-I know!), is a "Gut Fur 1/2 Liter Bier" token and a Free Car Was token!! :). Hope you enjoy looking at all this!!
(Sorry, they didn't post in order!!)

Cool beans, Blondie. I have seen a lot of old coins. My Dad managed grocery stores for most of his life and he used to go through the cash looking for old money. When he died, I thought he'd have it all in a safety deposit box somewhere, but it was all gone. Wish I'd have asked him what he did with it all. He started his own business when he was about 50. He probably sold it all for that. Oh well....I could have had some good stuff to share, lol. This brought back some good memories, though. We used to look through Dads collection every so often. I can't tell you how many two dollar silver certificates he had. A few stacks, for sure.

What I ended up with was a 1907 $5.00 bill and two $1.00 silver certificates, both from 1935. I have a western belt buckle with an old coin in that. I guess I should go get a pic of it....

Those are great bills!! Let's see that belt buckle!!

I'm not wild about this current boat event, and it looks unlikely I will make the goal, but what I don't understand is how one of my neighbours shows up as a top contributor with 812 boats. How do you do that many boats personally? How many diamonds do you have to have to use them to get your boats quickly?
Aside from getting people to talk about it, what is the point if even doing it??

I think it's a sort of "15 mins of fame" thing, perhaps? Seems a bit silly, but we should thank them for all their diamond expenditure, and competitiveness....without them the rest of us won't get get the final grand prize! So, I'm glad they're daft enough to do it - better them than me! :D

I, also, don't get it when people spend diamonds to speed up boats???!!!! I've never done that, nor will I. For an "event"???? For a "Leaderboard" advance???? Seems like buying a "Popularity Vote" to me. Although, I actually do realize that a popularity vote is still a popularity vote. No harm, no foul. Every one of us wants to feel love.

A 22 yr old boy in our community died almost 28 hours ago. He was driving way too fast on a curving road, hit a curb and a retaining wall, became air bound, and landed on a high wall adjoining a home. He died instantly. My kids have friends in common with him (but they didn't know him directly). Dear boy went to the same high school our community shares. I GRIEVE for his parents!!! If you pray, pray for them!! It is toooo, way tooooo, much to lose a child. LOVE your loved ones. TELL them you love them.

I DO love my dear friends here. So strange to feel a connection to people you haven't "met in person", but the connection is truer and lifelong in my opinion. <3
