Planks are a hot commodity for sure. Wood panels seem to be a little easier to get, but still more rare than we wish they were.

Planks and nails are hard to get. Wood panels for me are super super easy. I always have at least 10 more than what I need. I get wood panels and deeds constantly from my crops.
