I figure they're all scarce items, plus expansion items max price is more than building materials max price.

Trade at max price and get extra coins for the expansion items.

Yep, they are all scarce....I have traded plenty of building materials for items that cost a lot less! I was JK because all trades should be considered 1 for 1 unless another agreement is made.
